Mindful Self-Compassion Urban Silent Mini - Retreat
Before you deep-dive into our long-awaited summer take some time to slow down and recharge with an urban silent mindful self-compassion mini- retreat at Ottawa’s Bali-vibing Metta Movement and Meditation Studio.

Mindful self-compassion (MSC) is one of the most powerful things you can do for yourself. An explosion of research has shown its many benefits for well-being such as greater happiness, life satisfaction and motivation, better relationships and physical health, and less anxiety and stress.  MSC also equips you with the resilience needed to cope with life’s inevitable difficulties  such as divorce, health crises and academic/career set-backs.

During your afternoon mini-retreat you will turn your focus on your inner space and bring compassion to that experience.  This mini- retreat is a “taster” to mindful self-compassion and includes core practises and exercises that you can tap into at any time including affectionate breathing, the sense and savor walk, the compassionate body scan and loving-kindness meditation. These will help you unplug your inner critic and become your own best ally. You’ll leave revitalized by connecting more authentically to your inner compassionate voice.

All are welcome to participate. Beginners and seasoned meditators  will gently experience mindful self-compassion and it is an excellent opportunity for graduated of the 8 week MSC program to revisit core MSC practices.
